We're hiring an Apprentice Developer!
We’re offering an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Developer to be paid whilst they complete a four year fully-funded degree in Applied Software Engineering.

The role
You’ll be working with our agile development teams learning on-the-job how to be a full-stack software developer, as well as spending 20% of your time learning through The Open University’s online resources to gain a BSc (Hons) in Applied Software Engineering.

Someone with a real passion for technology, who may have existing qualifications or self-taught coding skills
Someone who is enthusiastic and self-motivated to learn new skills.
Someone with good organisational and communication skills.
Learning provider and programme details
The Open University’s degree-level apprenticeship programme is designed to be work-based, where university-led learning is applied straight away in a real work context.
The course:
The apprenticeship framework includes a balance of technical, business and interpersonal areas, designed to ensure you develop all the skills required to succeed in your role.
20% of time will be allocated to off-the-job learning. The Open University’s tutor-supported rich-media online learning resources can be accessed 24/7 on computers, tablets and mobile devices.
You’ll be allocated a Practice Tutor who will support the work-based learning modules and the final work-based project, as well as visiting you on-site 4 times a year.
Academic Tutors will facilitate learning within each of the knowledge modules through personalised tuition, support and feedback.
Salary: £17,100 per annum.

Hours: 37.5 hours, Monday-Friday.
